Getting here

Flying in
Geneva airport is the closest. From here, a beautiful 90 min train ride will get you to Aigle station. Zurich is an alternative option (3 hours by train), followed by Milan and others. Train connections in Europe are very effective, but check time schedules and prices before booking. Flying into a cheaper airport in Europe and combining with a low-fare flight (Easy-Jet, Norwegian and others) works well in some cases, but leave room for potential delays. Getting here by train

From Zurich or Geneva, you pass through Lausanne (perhaps changing trains in Lausanne) and on to Aigle (on route towards Brig). From Italy, take the train that enters Switzerland at Brig. You may have to change trains in Brig as some trains from Brig to Lausanne do not stop at Aigle. From France (Paris and many other French cities have fast TGV trains to Switzerland), take the train to Lausanne and then to Aigle. Please get your ticket before boarding the train. Bus from Aigle to Huemoz
When you arrive in Aigle, buy a bus ticket for Huémoz (pronounced “Way-mo”) in the train station or if the station is closed you can buy a ticket on the bus. The bus for Villars leaves on the side of the tracks away from the train station “Aigle-Villars- Aigle” The ride is about 20 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at L’Abri – Chalet Bellevue. It is the second stop in Huémoz. NB: The last bus leaves Aigle at 8:55 p.m.

Getting here by car
Drive to Aigle via Vevey (by lake Geneva), or through mountain passes from Italy. You will find Huémoz on the main road from Aigle to Villars sur Ollon. From Aigle, follow the signs for Ollon/Villars. Huémoz is about 8 km. from Ollon, the first town out of Aigle. Chalet Bellevue is on the left hand side of the road as you leave the village of Huémoz. If you reach Chesières on the way to Villars you have gone too far. Chalet Bellevue is directly across from the second bus stop in Huémoz as you are traveling from Huémoz towards Villars. Once settled, there’s parking space by the L’Abri chapel (through the village, stick right after the Huémoz church).

Connecting train/bus when buying flights:

Arrival: The last train that leaves Geneva airport train station with a connecting bus to Huémoz leaves Geneva airport train station at 7:20 pm Sun-Thu. and 9:20 pm Fri-Sat.

Departure: The earliest bus from Huémoz get you into Geneva at 7:59am Mon-Fri and 8:57am Sat-Sun.

Note: A taxi between Aigle and Huémoz costs around 60 swiss francs. Please consider the latest/earliest connections as noted, to avoid hotel and taxi-fees.
