Student fees

All student fees must be received in or converted to Swiss francs. Where necessary, exchange rates will be provided for you as noted below. Please be aware that L’Abri operates financially on a month-by-month basis. Therefore, whether you are coming for a long or short stay, you will be asked to pay your student fees in advance of or within the first week of your stay. The Swiss government recently added a nightly tax for all guests, which is included in the rates below.

45 Swiss francs + 5 tax = 50 Swiss francs per night for 3 nights or fewer.
35 Swiss francs + 5 tax = 40 Swiss francs per night for stays from 4 nights to 8 weeks.
30 Swiss francs + 5 tax = 35 Swiss francs per night for stays of 8 weeks and over.

We recommend that you pay in advance using one of the following options:

Bank Transfer (BCV – L’Abri’s Swiss Bank)
Our preferred method of payment is Bank Transfer. Your bank will be able to action this for you. If you would like to pay with this method, please use the contact form at the bottom of the page. Please specify the currency in which you will be paying; if it is a curreny other than Swiss francs, we will need to provide an exchange rate for you. Note that this method requires an additional fee of 12 Swiss francs. Please be sure to specify in the notes that this is a payment for a stay, as well as the student for whom it is to be applied.

Bank Transfer (Wells Fargo)

Other person paying?
If someone other than (you) the student will be making payment on their behalf (for example, parents), please arrive with all of the necessary arrangements in place in order that student fees can be taken care of in a responsible and timely manner.

Paying in advance
All students, regardless of your length of time with us, may pay their fees in advance of coming and we would warmly encourage you to consider this option.

Cancellation
Should you have to cancel, we will refund your fees, minus a small administrative charge (50 Swiss francs).
